INTERNATIONAL SALES MANAGER
energetic and result driven entrepreneur
In this role you are responsible for pro-actively driving forward sales and gross margin within the business by managing all aspects of the customer relationship with key accounts in Europe and North Africa. The Sales Manager’s product range will include zeolites, metasilicates and dry silicate powders produced at various locations of PQ in Europe.
You are responsible for developing and achieving sales budgets through direct sales, agents or distributors. You coordinate sales to a group of key accounts and you are following and reacting to the relevant developments in the area, searching for new prospects and sales targets. Further more you are monitoring sales versus budget and reporting about the progress and development of sales. You are working with the Commercial VP to determine and implement pricing strategies, and monitor contribution margins. As a Sales Manager you will work to find new applications for PQ silicate and zeolite materials. You also develop and maintain the technical knowledge base required to be responsive to the market place. In cooperation with R&D, technical service and market development managers they will develop new modified products that meet customer requirements and introduce these products in the market.
You have a Bachelor or Master degree within a technical area and minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a commercial position preferably in the chemical industry. As a person, you are emphatic, energetic and sharp, result driven, independent and you have an entrepreneurial mindset. You are down to earth and you have a pragmatic way of approaching your job and its tasks. You speak fluent English, German and Dutch. You also have excellent communications and negotiation skills, are know as a dedicated team player who is flexible and immune to stress. Last but not least, you are international oriented and you are willing to travel circa 50% of your time.
