Polyscope Polymers is the global market leader in the production and sales of styrene maleic anhydride (SMA) polymers, available on the market in the form of granulate. The factory is located on the Chemelot site in the Netherlands and was taken over from DSM. It is the largest SMA factory in the world. The head office of the company is located in Geleen, the Netherlands. Polyscope Polymers was founded in 2006. In the world of polymers, SMA polymers are a segment of a niche market with excellent clients. For this reason, Polyscope Polymers was able to develop the impressive market position that it holds today. Over the past twelve years, the company has won several prizes for its exceptional achievements. The company has approximately 60 employees worldwide and brings in an annual revenue of about 55 million euros, which is a very healthy result. The company was initially focused on the automotive industry. This is a demanding market and Polyscope Polymers proved to be successful even in such challenging market segments.
The SMA polymers are now sold on very diverse markets. The company has a strong ambition for growth, and this growth does not necessarily have to be organic. Moreover, the company wants to grow by means of 'forward integration’ in the supply chain. This growth ambition means that in terms of products and applications, Polyscope Polymers wants to establish itself even more firmly in the supply chain, and also wants to do this at an earlier stage. The goal is to make the realization of these ambitions a continuous project and make these ambitions part of the company's core. The growth ambition needs to be a second nature, rather than a project, allowing the company and its employees to develop and grow.
In order to facilitate, stimulate, and structure the inorganic growth ambitions of the company, our client, Polyscope Polymers is looking for a
