Job Description:
As an Aircraft Composite Repair Technician – Apprentice you will (be trained to) perform, modifications, and inspections on composite components of various aircraft types. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of composite materials and has a finished VMBO/MBO educational background.
Tasks:
- Perform composite repairs on aircraft structures, including fuselage, wings, control surfaces, and fairings.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals to determine repair procedures and specifications.
- Use precision tools and equipment to prepare surfaces, apply adhesives, and fabricate composite patches.
- Follow established repair processes and quality standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Document all repair activities, including work performed, materials used, and inspection results.
- Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and other team members to troubleshoot complex repair issues and develop innovative solutions.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- VMBO/MBO diploma or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as needed.
