Work environment
Under the direct supervision of the Construction Engineering Officer, the incumbent develops contracts / Standing Offers (SO) / Supply Arrangements (SA) containing: scope; Statements of Work (SOW) / Statements of Requirement (SOR); and substantiation and approval documents. They process invoices; manage and track digital and physical files; and perform other administrative activities. The incumbent will communicate with and translate and interpret for CFSU(E) personnel, Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) staff, contractors, local regulatory authorities, and other clients in English and German.

Some basic information regarding contract conditions
Work hours 38.5 hours per week, 7.7 hours per day, from Monday to Friday.
All employees are entitled to a minimum of thirty (30) minutes unpaid break for lunch after having worked at least six (6) and at maximum nine (9) hours on a day.
Probation Period All new employees are subject to a probationary period of three (3) months that starts on the date of appointment and may be extended due to lengthy sick leave (>10 days)) or delayed security clearance.
Health Insurance The employee must be insured with a German health insurance provider/company.
Pay Increments Step 1 – upon employment (TOS) for 3 months
Step 2 – for 6 months of continuous employment
Step 3 – for 9 months of continuous employment
Steps 4 to 6 – for 24 months of continuous employment
Step 7 – for 36 months
Step 8 – Final step
Authorised Holidays A Local National working under the CTA II Tariff Agreement will be eligible to paid time off on the German Statutory Holidays for their respective Federal County and on 24/31 December in accordance with Article 28 of the CTA II Tariff Agreement.
Annual Leave 30 days per calendar year. Leave may not be taken for the first time 6 months after commencement of employment.
Vacation Bonus The employee receives a vacation bonus, payable with the May salary and calculated as two percent (2%) of the base salary earned during the previous year from June to May. Employee must have completed their probation period on May 1 (cut-off date) and have been employed with the Stationing Forces of the same Sending State at least on the last day of the month following the completion of the probation period.
Christmas Bonus The employee receives a Christmas bonus, payable with the November salary and calculated as six point three percent (6.33%) of the base salary earned during the previous year from December to November. Employee must have completed their probation period on October 31 (cut-off date) and have been employed with the Stationing Forces of the same Sending State at least on the last day of the month following the completion of the probation period.
Asset Accumulations Benefit € 30.00 per month (pro-rated for part-time employees). This benefit is only applicable after a period of six months' continuous employment.
Employer-funded Life Insurance Solely financed by the employer – employee must have been employed continuously for at least five years with the Stationing Forces of the same Sending State to reap any benefits from this insurance.
Direct Insurance Plan - Pension Fund Solely financed by the employee. An employee can request a fixed sum to be deducted of their gross income which is paid into this savings plan (reduces taxable income). The Sending States offer one specific insurance plan for this purpose.
